Whooo, another weekend update. And some nice juicy stuff to talk about, hahaha.

Friday was a cool day. I didn’t do much, but it was still good. At Youth Group we had an announcement of a new Youth Pastor for the English congregation, and it was none other than our homegrown PK girl, Pastor Sandra Lim. It’ll be a good time for Sandra to grow and for us to learn under her and be challenged by what God has put on her heart. That was pretty much friday, oh, and the spontaneous time of worship we had afterwards that went on for awhile, but it was really cool, hehe. =) We didn’t leave until around 10:30! Geez!

Saturday was loads of fun again. Almost like a barrel full of monkeys. It started out with taking Justin and Ango to the DMV (and Lisa came along too to hang out). Justin and Ango had to get their permits, cuz Justin’s expired, and Ango needs one. So off we went, but as soon as we got there, Ango didn’t have her slips she needed. We had to drive back to the Lau’s, then back to the DMV, haha. So we waited around a little bit before Justin and Ango went in to take their test, and it took SOOOOOO long of waiting (oh the reason I had to go was because I needed a front license plate after being pulled over the weekend before, but unfortunately they weren’t doing license plate things today, ARGH). So anyways, we sat around for awhile, and Justin and Ango finally took their test, and both passed. I’m 4 for 4! whoohoo
Anyways, afterwards, we went to my house to make cookies! (Since if you read my journal a lot, or were there on Thursday, we didn’t make them on Thursday, so this was to make up for it, whee ) So we made cookies, Chocolate chip (my favorite) and Oatmeal raisin walnut cookies. Yum Yum. Oh, and Lemon Squares. We didn’t eat many there, and brought them over to Sara’s place where we had a college games night kinda thing. It was fun, but we had waaaay too much food. I ate until I was stuffed. They played some funny game called something like “Gab It Up” where it sounds like you speak chineglish or ebonics and you have to realize what phrase you’re saying. Then we played Taboo, guys verses girls, and after a long battle, the guys won, but only by 2. The girls played a VERY good game! (I really mean it! You better not beat me up Lisa! haha).

Sunday, wow, today, Erm…wait, now it’s monday, doh. Thought I would get to do an update on Sunday, but oh well. ANYWAYS, Sunday was slightly long, since it was Father’s Day! It was another Joint service and the Chinese worship team led worship and we were priviledge to have Pastor Lim speak today. Also today was the installation of the new senior pastor, Pastor Au-Yueng. It was very nice and touching. After service 8 of us (Reese, Justin, Gordo, Eric, Tiff, Michelle, and Janet) went to Red Robins, and spent a bundle on lunch, blah. I dropped of Janet, and while on the way, Lisa and Ango called to ask us to hang out, so we went over to there place for a lil and watched The Watcher, and looked as some old family pics of Lisa, Ango, and their brother Lawrance, hehe. Man, kid pictures are so cute! Haha, I love looking at them. I had to get home by 6:30 to go out with my Parents, brother, and Paw-paw for Father’s Day. We went to some crazy frence restaurant that plays movies on a big wall on 21st and Mission. It was pretty interesting, and had some good food (omigosh, the BEST filiot Minget I’ve EVER had. DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL). So good. After Dinner I just jammed on home back to San Jose, wheee. Long weekend. And there it is. =)

Wow. Cleaned up the whole living room and Bathroom….wondering about the kitchen, but don’t think it’s gonna happen (I hate washing dishes, ugh. And they’re not even my dishes to wash! argh). But the living room and bathroom are all cleaned. Looks really nice too. =P Ahhhhh, I’m tired.

Blearg. Time for a reformat of this old system. My HD has been acting up ever since I bought it, so it’s about time that I chunk this sucker and reformat. Hopefully it’ll fix all the problems. =) If not, grrrr, maybe it’s the video card I have.
Been backing up all my files today with my burner. My audio recordings took up 3 cds!!!!! insane, course it’s all still .wav files and huge amounts of them. I put them on the D: drive too, so I shouldn’t lose them, but if I do, oh well, whatever.

More cleaning to do today, whooopie, hehe.

Well some of the youth are coming down to my house here in San Jose on Thursday. Wow, how cool =) I feel special now. Anyways, I’ll be doing some “House Work” with cleaning up and everything, and already have been. The living room is cleaner now, but still needs to be vacumed and stuff. Prolly will be cleaning for awhile, alas. =P

DSL has been acting funny all today, up until about a few minutes ago. The DNS servers were down. Basically what the DNS servers do are connect ya to all the other stuff when ya don’t have an ip. It changes things like “www.yahoo.com” to a ip 64.193.243.9). So yea, DSL, bleargh, but I still like it.

Still haven’t signed up to work anywhere yet, dunno where I’m gonna sign up. I found out that Roberta Enterprises got bought out by CoreStaff (who I used to do temp stuff with). So I really only have one place to go to, which is CoreStaff again. Maybe I’ll try going out there this week or next, not sure yet since this week is pretty busy.

Ahhh, DSL was down most of this morning (well from 11am until about now, not techincally morning for most people….but usually morning for me, lol, j/k). Ended up playing StarCraft with some of my housemates over our network since the DSL was down and I couldn’t do anything else.
Ahn chilled with us last night at the house after work. He came by to hang out and we went out to Red Robins. Red Robins is the best place you can go to get stuffed and have tons of drinks! Frecked Lemonade all the way!!!! =P (for 4 dollars thou, you gotta drink atleast 3 glasses, hahaha). Bottomless fries rule at that place too, but you gotta have a good waiter/watiress, other wise they’ll get mad at ya for getting so many refills (well not really good waitor, but a nice one).
Still haven’t gone shopping to Albertson’s yet, I should though, pick up some things and maybe make some real food for dinner. =)

Hrm, after a talk with Lisa today, I think I’ll release a few of my songs/poems on this LiveJournal thingy. Enjoy, give your responses to me on AIM (WarbladeX) or leave a comment. =) Oh and of course these are as always a work on progress and never finished till I say so. =)

“Beauty of the Cross”

I’ll meet You at the cross, Lord
Because that’s where You want me to be
You were brusied and beaten
It was here You died and set me free

Let me dwell on the beauty of the cross
The cross on which You died.
Let me come before You humbly
Just to bow and worship at the foot of the cross
Just to worship at the cross

Whoooooooo, loooooooooooooooooooooong weekend here folks. I headed back to SF on Thursday afternoon, so you’ll get a nice 4 day weekend update (which feels like one of the longest weekends I’ve had in a long time, but enjoyable =) ).

Thursday started out with prep’ing for the Grad Banquet at church the next day. We all got there around 5-5:30ish and started at around 6:30. We finished at around 9:30, which is pretty late, but the skit crew were going through all their planning for the skit and rehersing and all that. It felt like a really long night, with moving a bunch of tables, and chairs and streamers and everything. Hah, we covered the windows too so that it would be more dark, since the light is still pretty bright at 8pm.

Friday was another long day, thou the morning seemed a bit uneventful. I didn’t do anything around the house until I left and met up at church at around 2pm. There I really didn’t do anything except help run errands, since I wasn’t in the skit (well, later I was, but that’s later, hah). Lol, we couldn’t find anything good for the Grad’s for gifts, so we ended up getting chocolate (course it was an executive decision by Janet, since I wasn’t at Walgreens with them, hah).
Prime rib was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Yum. Thanks Darrel. The salad was awesome too. Darrel made a Chicken Ceasar Salad, yum. The only problem with the night was that there wasn’t many people =(. Probably about…35 people over all I think, when we were expecting about 60 or so. We forgot to put the date on the flyers we sent out, and that may have caused some confusion =( oh well…. The skit went off well, hehe, was pretty funny and everything. Erik and Evelyn got the “mystery” right by gessing Sebastian/Eric as the killer, but someone said they cheated by waiting till they said it or something, hehe. Oh, Justin, Tiff, Melissa, and Helen also sang a song that they’ve been wanting to do (or Tiff has been wanting to do) for a while now called “Dreams I Dream for You” by Avalon. They did a good job =) Helen has a good voice, wow, hits some great highs. Anyways, after clean up that was Friday. =P

Saturday was the long day. Lisa had been planning this day/trip kinda thing for 2 weeks I think, and it went well overall =). We went out to Concord to Justin’s Dad’s place out there, since he has a pool. 4 cars went out there with…18 people I think…don’t remember the total number. We had TONS of food, omigosh, all for 5$ a person too, what a great deal (well minus the drivers, since we drove and used up atleast 5$ worth of gas, hehe). The pool was pretty big, 3 foot to 6 1/2′ deep. There was the sign that said “Maximum Occupancy: 15″ that I just laughed at, cuz that pool could fit probably 25-30 people in it…well…low end of that, hah. Almost all I can remember from Saturday was food, food, food. Chicken Wings, Mini-tacos (yum), raviolos, sausage, and fruit, crazy amounts of fruit! haha. We also watched ConAir, prolly one movie I could have done without (Matrix baby! whoooo, ahh well, next time, hah).

Sunday was almost a typical sunday, cept longer. We had joint service with Pastor Au-Yueng speaking for it. Pastor Lim (Steven Lim) was also back in service this week. He got back on Saturday to be with his family here before he and his wife move out to Missouri. At 4pm we were scheduled to go move a bunch of things from all the offices (well except Pastor Valerie’s) because they’re all getting recarpeted today (monday). Wonder what the new carpets will look like and what kinda condition the church will be in when I get back there on friday (dunno if all the stuff will be moved back yet, probably wont….). After all of that we had some pizza and left. I drove Tiff and Ango home and headed down to San Jose. Surprisingly I didn’t go right to sleep (well, I got some rest after lunch and before 4pm), but hung around for a bit in San Jose at the house, and Derek came back down to SJ.

But now I’m bored again. Going to have to find something to do with this week, haha. I’m sure something will come up. =)

So my rents going up by 400$ (well for the house). So the new rent price per month will be 2600$. Crazy eh? This place isn’t worth that much, aiya. Blah, makes me a lil mad, but ok, whatever. =P
Moved all the guitar stuff back from my car and the weekend and stuff. Having fun just jamming around. I wish I could write more stuff, like songs and stuff, but I can only do that when I’m really in the mood to and I have the creative juices flowing.

Looking forward to Saturday, should be a fun time. Hopefully we’ll get enough rides for it soon. =) Just got mail so gonna check that, wheee.

Had an interesting conversation with a friend today that I forgot to mention. She reads this sometimes and mentioned how she thought it was neat, since I used to think I kept things to myself or something, but now I have a journal. Just thought it was interesting. For those of ya who know me and read this, how do you think I am? I guess it was kinda of weird for me to take up journal writing, but ya know, it’s kinda fun. I get to talk about things, about life, ambitions, etc, and my friends get to read and know how I feel about things. It’s kind of neat to know that the stuff I write gets read sometimes, as weird as it may be. Ahhhh…I guess I just like speaking my mind sometimes and thinking people listen or what not. Anyways.
